Since the last SYNC update that allowed Waze to start working, I've been pretty happy, but recently noticed that Waze displays the vehicle speed as being 10-15% higher than actual when plugged into CarPlay. Unplug, and normal speed displayed by phone, accurate with speedometer, and I also cruised a measured mile at 60 mph, and was right at a minute, so the speedo appears accurate, but Waze is not when plugged into Carplay.
Some Google searching showed similar complaints related to Ford vehicles with Sync 3.0, and apparently fixed recently with an update. However, the website does not show any available update for my vehicle, currently Sync 3.0, build 18093. I have found the files for the update on the web, but am hesitant to install. Anyone noticed these problems and tried the update or have another solution? Thanks!
