Looking for an option to cover the chrome ring. It’s blinding at times. What have others done to the interior trim? :)

Wear sunglasses, cheaper and easier. If something on the console is blinding you, you should also maybe get your eyes checked or focus on what’s ahead of you and not the center console?? Just a friendly thought

Well I may just have to experiment! My RAM Rebel had the trim rings black from the factory and I got used to no glare from interior pieces. Shouldn’t be too difficult, just curious to see if others have done anything similar.

I have wanted to do this as well. My wishes were to wrap the plain- Jane dash pieces to match the silver grain around the shifter, but I completely understand your annoyance with the sun reflection off of the chrome (even with sunglasses on). Lately I just throw some ball caps over it, but I too would like a permanent solution.
So far, I have only found one place that could do a custom wrap (Houston)but they want me to remove the pieces and bring them in separately to get wrapped. I’m looking for a place that could do it all in place without having to remove the selected pieces.

I may end up asking the guy that installed my XPEL PPF his opinion. :)

trim piece (1).JPG I was blinded a few times when I looked at the dash and also out of the corner of my eye the door handles.
I painted my dash vent trim rings and both front door handles 2-1/2 years ago and they still look as good as the day I painted them.
This is what i did...
driver & passenger handle
Remove small square cap in handle recess and remove screw.
Remove trim around handle. It’s held by 3 metal clips and 2 plastic tabs. See photo for clip locations, pry trim away from door.
Remove handle by lifting catch on top that holds pivot pin, pull handle forward and out.
Disconnect cable on back of handle.

Dash vent trim rings
They are a pain to remove, you can remove them by force which will break some of the one-way tabs on the back side of the vent. You will need a small amount of glue to re-secure them after painting. Or if you can figure out how to remove the entire vent, you can release the one-way tabs.

Sand chrome until dull. Prime with Rustoleum Plastic primer
Topcoat with Rustoleum flat black enamel.
