At Witt’s end with this thing

I have an 05 EB 5.4 4x4 transmission started slipping so I found one on marketplace out of an 04 same exact set up minus the input speed sensor had a plastic plug in the hole instead of a sensor figured wth it should have a tone ring in it and swapped the transmissions now the I have a cel for input speed sensor replaced sensor (x2) thinking ok might of got a bad sensor nope still have same problem guess the question I’m asking is what are the chances that this 04 transmission doesn’t have an input speed sensor tone ring in it????

Well I suppose it's possible it doesn't have a tone ring. Can you pull the speed sensor out and maybe use a mirror or a camera and look inside the trans?
