I have a 2014 L with the THX system and it has a mind of its own. Sometimes the radio will function perfectly, or sometimes the front speaker above the dash will echoe, then i have a loud popping noise coming from the door speaker, the popping noise can last a couple seconds or it wont stop until you kill the vehicle. I feel it has something to do with the amp, any idea where its located?

I dont have the cash right now to take it in to see whats going on, has anyone had this issue, what would you check? Thanks in advance.

The factory amp is behind and below the radio. You can sort of access it by removing the side panels of the center console but if you need to service it for any reason you'll need to pull the radio to get it out.

There is also a DSP, digital sound processing module that could be at fault. Located in the same area.

I've never attempted to troubleshoot this particular amp but I would imagine you'll need a quality dmm and a service manual of sorts if you hope to do anything unless you're pretty familiar with the tech.
