In channel you most likely will run into issues with the window hitting it when you roll them up. I have never had any problems with the stick on and I have installed several on different cars

I picked up a set of inchannel ones from ebay last spring ($25-$30 shipped IIRC). They have adhesive tape on them as well, but they do slide up into the channel. The first few times, I was half afraid of putting the windows all the way up, but I have had no issues with them at all. They've made several trips up and down the coast...PA to Florida twice, PA to Georgia once and PA to NY twice..all up and down I95 at "decent speeds" and I have had no issues with them whatsoever. Not too mention the kids in and out of the vehicle all of the time AND I drive with my windows open all summer long.

I'll try and check them for the manufacturer...
