What is the distance between the mounting rod and stationary clip for "slide on rod" sun visors?

Edit:
it looks like 2007 and newer Expeditions have the slide on rod sun visor design, and appear to be very similar in style to my 2003. To verify if these models are the same basic size, can someone that has these take a few measurements and post them here? My existing non-sliding visors are 13 5/8" between the mounting rod and center of the stationary clip. The full width is about 16 1/2" and they are 7 1/2" at their tallest just inside the fixed clip.

Thanks!!!

I am going over my '03 Expy and trying to "make it nicer" to drive. It's our extra vehicle - mainly for trips to Home Depot, or to drive when other cars are in the shop. My wife just had to drive it for a week, and she gave me a laundry list of complaints that I'd like to improve on.

One thing that has always bugged me is that when the visors are turned to block the sun from the side window, they doesn't slide on a rod to extend to cover the full window. Most cars have this feature, but not the Expedition that has pretty big windows??? I would like to swap out the visors to ones that have that sliding rod feature, but haven't been able to figure out when Ford started offering them.

Help!

Thanks!

My 2015 Expedtion Limited had the dual front sun visors on each side. One could be unsnapped from its mount, and pivoted to the side to use for the side window. One could be tilted down to use on the front windshield. I don’t recall if one extended on a rod, but I think it did.

I did not use the dual sun visor feature often in the almost 10 years I had it.

Yep, the dual visor feature is silly. I used it a couple of times when we first got the truck, but the fixed visor just got in the way of the one that could be swung out to the side, so I haven't used it since. But the sliding/extension feature would get used ALL THE TIME!!!

Hopefully someone here will chime in with more info. I really just want to know which model years had them and then I can verify if they will fit or not. I could probably even go with an F-150 visor but figured I'd keep it more in the family...

If I were here, you would know it !
My '011 EL has them, but so does my son's '09 Impala & the wifey's '17 Acadia, so it's not like they're a feature that's exclusive to Fords...

As to whether they will "fit", they may technically mount up ok, but they may or may not extend far enough over the side window to be useful...

In the absence of any concrete info from elsewhere, I would suggest looking around some junk yards to find an earlier or later model Expy & check to see which ones had them or didn't....:)
