bad lag

OK I have a 02 EB that I had a motor new motor installed last year and they say they swapped the tps and put new plugs in. My issue is when giving gas one of two things happen it will ether lag until I get the pedal almost to the floor then it jumps hard and will run like a beast. Or it accelerates reel slow all the way to cruising speed then I can let off and it goes back to the lag stage if I give it gas. Its a 4.6 with a custom cold air intake and flow master exhaust.

Let me know if more info will help I can add more I just want the power I had 6 months ago back. After I put the new in take on I could spin the tires as long as I wanted. Now it won't even skip them.

O and I also don't have any check engine lights or anything on.

Have you checked for a vaccume leak i had a truck recently did a similar thing the bolts backed out of the throttle body and created a leak and it was so intermittent that it did not set the cel

I didn't see anything visible. But I only gave it a quick look over
