There is no GEM in the second generation expeditions.

What is your problem and what is it that you need to find?

Have you checked fuses and if so how did you check them?

The remote may need a new battery Have you tried another remote? Again check fuses in the fuse box.

Can you unlock and lock the doors by using the keypad on the drivers door?

I think he's referring to body control module. You or your mechanic will need to do some troubleshooting on the A/C system. Does it have a full freon charge? Is the compressor/ clutch functioning? Are the blender doors operating as they should? Keep us posted.

Are you doing the a/c diagnosis yourself? If so put a set of r134 guages on it to see your readings. Be sure you've got power going to the a/c compressor. Sounds like you've got a little troubleshooting on your plate.

As for fuses I realize that the manual says to pull the fuse and look at it to see if its blown or not.
However that does not tell you if you have voltage into or out of the fuse and voltage is what makes things run. Some fuses have voltage at all times and some only have voltage when the key is in the run or start position

You may need to reprogram the remote

Remote Keyless Entry Transmitter Programming
NOTE: All remote keyless entry (RKE) transmitters must be programmed at the same time.

NOTE: Programming (or reprogramming) of the RKE transmitters can be accomplished using a diagnostic tool or by carrying out the following steps:

  1. The vehicle must be electronically unlocked before entering program mode using the door lock control switch while the driver door is open.
  1. Turn the ignition switch from the OFF to the RUN position 8 times within 10 seconds, with the eighth turn ending in RUN. If the module successfully enters program mode, it locks and then unlocks all the doors.
  1. Within 20 seconds, press any button on an RKE transmitter, and the doors lock and then unlock to confirm that each RKE transmitter is programmed. Repeat this step for each RKE transmitter.
  1. If the door locks do not respond for any RKE transmitter, wait several seconds and press the button again. If the door locks still fail to respond, refer to Inspection and Verification in this section. (Make sure that no more than the maximum number of RKE transmitters are attempted to be programmed.)
  1. Exiting the programming mode is accomplished if one of the following occurs:
    • The key transitions to the OFF position.
    • 20 seconds have passed since entering programming mode or since the last RKE transmitter was programmed.
    • The maximum number (6) of RKE transmitters have been programmed.

How did you determine the ac system is "full"?
How long has the replacement compressor been on there? And was it new, reman or junkyard special?

I just replace the compressor this week the freon I had it they said the two had three and a half pounds I added to and it said that the compressor should start coming on then add the other pound of freon never kicked on again I check for the high-pressure the line with the line is hot that which gave me an idea that it just wasn't cycling
