Hi guy´s,

since I´ve buyed my For XLT I have a problem, which I can not handle.

Every 30 minutes there is a signal ( the same one, which you hear when press the info or reset button )

The computer don´t show anything.

The signal starts to beep after putting the key in the ignition lock or when starting the engine.

It beeps 5 times in interval for I think two minutes, then after about half an hour again and again. Can somebody tell me where I have to search the problem?

In my desperation I was thinking about to find and cut the speaker of this beeper, but maybe I can find some answers here.

that's interesting Haven't seen that on here before Kindly keep us posted if you do fine what is causing this.

Where doe the beep sound seem to be coming from

I wouldn't cut it just yet would be better to find the cause of the problem

Also do you have any video systems in the expy Just thinking that something there could be causing a beeping sound

The beep sounds is coming out of the dashboard. When you press the Info/reset button right of your steering wheel, you can hear the same beep tone.

There are no video systems installed yet. everything is original.

Ok I will try to find out whats wrong.

Remember that my 2002 Expedition is already a Gen 2.

Every of your listed warning devices has a different warning.

I really mean, press the info button on your car and the beep you here is exactly the one i am talking about.

By the way, what is the GEM for?

However, if I will not find the cause of this tone, i will have to go to poland in March and give the care in good polish mechanic hands. If there is somebody who can, they can 100%

Does anything else happen at the same time as the beep? Such as a flashing theft light on the dash, or the interior lights coming on momentarily?

Look in your owners manual or if you don't have one go to owner.ford.com and you can download a copy Check in the index or on page 182 or in that area there is a procedure to deactivate the seat bely warning chime. From you description I think this may be your problem that something is wrong in that circuit Try and deactivate it and see if that cures the problem

You need to look in the owners manual for a 2003 expedition

A series of five beeps will be heard. The tone pattern will repeat
periodically until the problem and warning light are repaired.
If any of these things happen, even intermittently, have the Personal
Safety System serviced at your dealership or by a qualified technician
immediately. Unless serviced, the system may not function properly in
the event of a collision.

That looks like my problem.... bedrck46 you are good :)))))
