I have a weird problem with the black trim between the front and rear doors on the passenger side. Looks like it’s delaminating. IMG_6299.jpeg

Looks a lot like my dash did before I had that replaced (at 6k miles none the less). Super frustrating I'm sure, you're in TN which isn't as bad as folks in say PHX as far as sun and heat. You still under warranty by any chance?

I’m in East Kentucky near the Virginia line. I’ve had it since last of February this year. It’s a 21 platinum which I bought with 22k in the clock. It was ford certified with a 12 month bumper to bumper and extended powertrain to 100k warranty. Thanks for the replies, I’ll make an appointment to take it in to see if it’s covered.

I bought a new 2015 Expedition Limited 4x4. It has the black vertical trim pieces like the one you have pictured.

On the second day of ownership, at 100 miles, a large rock dropped by a miserable, uncovered commercial gravel truck traveling in the opposite direction on a rural state route struck the LF door black trim, putting a large gash in it.

I ordered and bought the part from the Ford dealer. A local body shop (that I knew the owner) did the replacement.

They had to remove the inside door panel, the window channel rubber trim, then the black trim piece - which was riveted to the door frame. It was an involved repair, but was done right.
