Keep getting these fault messages - dealership can't seem to figure it out - anyone else have this problem or know what might be causing it???? 2015 Expedition
I have a 2015 Expedition Limited 4x4 - ordered and purchased new. Never wrecked or damaged. It has the heavy duty towing package but I have never hooked up a trailer or opened the two trailer wiring harness connector covers.
I have not receive this warning (I have the BLIS option) - but often receive the "no key detected" and "trailer wiring fault" messages on the DIC. I have the push button start.
The vehicle is parked outside and I have determined the messages pop-up upon engine start after being parked in heavy rain.
I took the vehicle to the dealer who told me they could find nothing wrong as there were no codes set.
I suspect the heavy rain has something to do with it and there must be water getting into a wiring harness or connector. I am very irritated as the dealer did not take much effort to determine what is wrong. I have never driven the vehicle in standing water or off road.
Does your warning pop-up after the vehicle has been in heavy rain?
