Folks I bought a used 2012 Expy with 130k miles on it. First thing I did was replace the shocks cuz this sucker bounces like a basketball. Problem is it still bounces nowhere near as bad but it's bouncy. Is there something besides the shocks that would make it bounce? Tires maybe?

I would check to see if you have the correct size tires and if they are inflated to the factory recommendation.

Perhaps check under the vehicle to see if a sway bar or link is damaged or missing?

Has the vehicle suspension been modified by previous owners? What type of shock absorbers did you install?

(I own a 2015 Expedition Limited 4x4.)

2 things will affect ride quality, 1 is your shocks/ struts. 2 is your coil spring's or leaf springs. I've tried 3 different shocks on my first gen expedition, including actual oem Ford units. I tried motorcraft, Bilsteins, and lastly the Ford units. I've changed rear springs with new Ford units. Nothing works for me. I've heard Kyb works, but I'm skeptical about those. Most replacement shocks are built so cheaply these days, its a crap shoot. By the way tires won't cause bouncing unless their extremely cupped due to the worn shocks. But that's more of a slapping rough ride, not a bounce. Easiest and oldest way to check shocks is bounce fender, it should stop within 1 bounce with a sucking hydraulic sound.

LOL you changed your shocks cause they're too bouncy and it's still bouncy, I changed my shocks cause the ride was too stiff and it's still too damn stiff after 4 new kyb's

This comes completely because I am not a mechanic & I'm not very mechanically inclined. How would I know if something is missing? The shocks I put on where Monroe with some sort of spring around. I think I found the recommendation on this forum somewhere
