Has anyone had experience with removing the broken exhaust studs from the aluminum heads? Anyone with any tips or tricks, please let me know. I am going to be changing my right exhaust manifold and removing a couple broken studs.

Thanks

Well for anyone else that has this problem and is looking to fix it, I found this blog on the internet and used it to fix the problem myself.

http://www.frontiernet.net/~jmray/F250ExhMani.htm

The blog has detailed intsructions and photos from a guy that did this to this F250. It cost me about $130 in parts and I was done in about three hours (including two trips to the parts store to buy tools ) .

I have driven a socket[7mm or 1/4"] onto the broken studs before and turned them out without removing the manifolds. installed a new stud and nut tightened and retested no leak. some studs are not accessible this way though.
