When I bought my truck the cd changer said "slots full" whenever I pressed the "Load" button. When pressing eject I got "cd error". I took it apart and pulled out 3 home made cd's with the year 2006 hand written on them. One of the discs was broke into 3 pieces. I got all the junk out of the changer, however a white plastic gear also fell out. I looked everywhere and don't see where it belongs.
I put it back together, turned it on and no more error messages. When I press "Load" button it says to select the slot for the cd, then when I press a number for the slot, nothing happens at all. The little door never opens for allowing a cd to be inserted. When I press eject, it says "no discs" or something like that.
I'm determined to fix it without spending money, all I have to do is figure out where that little white gear goes. Has anyone messed with their radio like this before?
