I know this has been discussed on this site. But has anyone seen any actual word from Ford on the issue of bull bars interfering with air bag deployment. I called Ford twice and they would not tell me one way or the other. The dealer had no knowledge of the issue. I have found a number or articles, etc., on this issue on Australian sites. Most deal with the protecting pedestrians from injury (seems if I run you over with my Expedtiion, the least of your problems will be whether I have a bull bar....) However, the bull bars there do get some sort of air bag compliant rating. I'd like to install a chrome Westin bar.
