Anybody dyno the truck before and after the mods or is HP and torque just a guess?

The stats quoted for hp & torque are from 5 star & their dyno tests
5 Star is the only calibration house that currently offers software for the 2018 EXPY
My previous four ford ECO Boost vehicles were recalibrated with Livernois software but they currently do not offer it for 2018 EXPY
Should have my software in 2-3 days
Ordered 3 calibrations
93 octane performance/tow
91 octane performance/tow
89 octane performance/tow
Disable A.S.S.
Plan to load 93 octane calibration first & will probably never use the other 2
Notice I use "CALIBRATION" software instead of "TUNE"
I think the "TUNE" terminology sounds hokey for something so sophisticated:33:

Just ordered the calibrator Thursday of last week
Received it Saturday
My wife & I had Dr's appt's Monday & Tuesday
Downloaded the stock file from our EXPY late yesterday & emailed it to them
Checked to verify that they had received it this morning (they have)
2-3 days for them to create the calibrations I requested after receipt of my stock calibration file
Probably have it by the end of the week
Livernois does not have calibrations available for2018 EXPY yet
I have checked with them on several occasions asking for it
But for some reason they have yet to offer it
BTW
Always had to send stock calibration information to Livernois as well before they emailed me the software

I have been dealing with 5 Star for the past month now, there is a delay on the calibrations for now. I've been speaking with Jacob and they are currently waiting for HP Tuners to resolve software issues that are preventing them from calibrating the transmission. They can send out files for now that only affect the motor but it would be pretty useless without having the transmission tuned to work with it. They told me they were hoping to have this resolved shortly, I can post back later when I finally get the files from them.

I've got to ask then, have they tested this on an actual 2018 Expedition? Maybe they have done direct tuning and are having problems getting the tune through third party hardware...

Not sure why there is so much skepticism here
Same engine & trans used in 2018 F150 & nearly every house has calibration software for it
Maybe I will call them today for an update
Was told I would have my software in 2-3 days after receipt of my stockfile
sent them the complete stock file that includes ECU & TCU programming Tuesday evening
Called them Wednesday morning to verify they received it
They had received it

Im sure that 5Star knows what they are doing... It should make for a great improvement on an already great platform.

I e-mailed Gearhead tuning , I had there Adjustable octane tune and loved it, Liked it better than my MPT tune overall on my 2014 F 150 Eco I just traded in. The owner currently has a expy and they said they're a few weeks out from releasing their tune also. There is a big post on them at the Ecoboost F150 forum about the tune overall. It drove nice and hauled when you got on it and the retain fords tables so it adjust for the octane your running no more constant reloading all the different octane tunes game.

Sounds interesting.

I'd like to get the 25 rwhp back from the Platinum since I'm in a lowly XLT... I assume this is all done in the factory Ford tuning.

Hi All
5 star uses software from HP Tuners to create their calibrations
They also have a training program for tuners
https://thetuningschool.com/collections/hp-tuners
I would suspect many other TUNERS use their software to create their calibrations
If I was 20-30years younger I would definitely get set up with them
I am a 73 year old semi retired fuel & emissions engineer
Would be fun to get involved with today's vehicles now that you can do so much with just software recalibration
When I was young it required engine teardown to add compression, more aggressive camshaft, cylinder head porting, headers etc.
OH WELL:33:

Loaded the 5 Star 93 octane calibration about an hour ago
Have not driven it much yet but throttle response seems much better & instant fuel mileage a little better as well
Anyone else loaded a calibration yet?
