Well i just joined and did a bit of searching and didnt get the answers i was looking for. here is the problem.
About 3 months ago i got a "Check Charging System" and the local AutoZone guys said that it was a bad alternator. SO... i replaced it. and like a pro (sarcasm) i hooked it up, not reading any instructions (not my first rodeo) and i didnt follow the "Start Up Instructions"
now it has been 3 months and the error message and battery light comes on, YET the battery is between 13.7 and 14.1 volts at idle. even under a load, like AC, Brights, Blinkers, Loud Stereo and rolling windows up or down and it does not change.
i read on a Mustang forum that it could be that the parts store gave me the wrong amperage alternator (130 rather than 110)
Any help or suggestions?
Thank You
