Do I have to go with new springs or can I do the cheap guy thing and cut a coil off or so? looking for a 2"-2.5" drop. Just not sure if I can do that on the coilover style suspension.

we dont have coilover style...just regular springs...it has been done but many suggest not to do it due to spring rate compromise...cheap and easy yes...i'd rather pay for the proper equipment and install it as i did...2" ground force drop springs

Your springs are not over your shocks/struts? This could make things more difficult. Mine is the navi with the conversion. I thought it just used expy stuff, guess not.

the springs are over the struts. Some people don't consider them coil overs since they aren't adjustable.

Then those people are wrong. The definition is in the name. "Coil-over" (shock). Adjustable or not. That is why those are called adjustable coilovers. I wish they all came in a race verision from factory.

I kinda wish mine had air suspension still.

I was looking at the springs but was curious if anyone was doing the cheaper mod of cutting a coil or heating. Horrible ride quality of course but effective.

NEVER HEAT A SPRING!!!!! It turns the spring into a pile of junk. I've cut springs before. But I kept it minor. I've never cut more than a coil.
