Hey Guys

I just got my 2004 Expedition and I having a issue, when driving the info center will pop up a check charging system every so often. It looks like the alt has been replaced as well the 2 wire cable that crosses the ac line. when I test the output, the alt is putting out 14.3v and when the alarm is on the battery gauge never moves. Any other ideas?

Thanks
Joe

must be that time of season...Just had to replace the battery in mine....go to autozone or one the parts stores and have them check check and load test your battery...

battery/alt/starter=charging system...if alt is good check battery...if batter is good...check starter but if it was the starter you'd have starting issues...is that the case as well?

If your battery tests out oK, check your battery and alternator cables including the grounding cables and make sure they are clean and tight.

Hey guys

I took apart all the cables and cleaned the connectors. Turns out it was the 3 wire connector on the alt itself that has some buildup. Once I cleaned it its been fine.
