Bet the car has at least 100k more....too old for that few miles....run a check on it...

Pretty positive changing a cluster does nothing to change mileage. Its controlled thru the ecu .so it would take some work to change the mileage back. But still do a car fax

I'd be kinda weery about it too. They could have messed with it. That's not very many miles for that year of vehicles.

my '98 expedition has 81k miles on it

my dads '99 explorer has 30k!!!!

'91 f-250 has 67k!

low mile cars/trucks are out there!!!

97 & 98 both have mechanical odometers. 99 and up are digital.

Agree. Not every one has long commutes or use theirs as a daily driver. Up until this past year I was averaging less than 4,000mi a year in my expy. I have work van that gets driven to and from work obviously and my wife has minivan so the expy is more of an option.

Think it is human nature though to be skeptical when things are outside the "norm".

It looks pretty clean from the pics. I am not their to look at it but I wouldn't be surprised if it is right with only 78k.

Now.. maybe im missing something.. KBB lists this truck in excellent conditon with those miles for $4600 private party. Seems about $2000+ to much.. or is it just the low miles that seem strange? As so many say.. i have alot of cars with less miles that are older.. of course its not common but its not that strange.
