Ross, I am not a big chrome fan. I will admit that a certain amount of chrome is needed to accent, but the same time, a little too much is way too much. I can't say that I have a "8 pieces of chrome is ideal" type of rule, but depending on the vehicle, some chrome makes it look better.

From a personal stand point, if you are going to put the chrome trim under the windows, I would find some chrome tape or something of the like to extend the chrome down the whole side of the truck. So, you would end up with chrome on the painted portion between the back doors and the rear windows and then along the bottom edge of the rear side windows. This way you have a 1.5" wide chrome accent line there. I think that would look a lot better than simply the chrome under the door windows.

But, this is your truck. If you think it would look good, go for it. Don't let what I am thinking hold you back.

NOOOOOOOOO CHROME!!!!! that is just tacky and would kill the clean look of your expy... would make it look cheap... but PTM would be classy and take it too the next level because it would be a little mod that you would have to look at and know it was different... much better IMO:artist1::artist1:

too much chrome is bad. only chrome i have is my bumpers wheels and door handles now and the only other chrome is going to be the fuel door. personally i think the chrome belt line trim looks cheap i would never use that on my truck and i think it will ruin the look of your truck ross.

I think the chrome wheels are enough. Like the others said, too much chrome can easily make a vehicle look cheap and tacky. Your Expedition looks good as it is now. :)

Not to alter what you are thinking about, but here is a spin on the very idea. What if you got the chrome parts then had them dipped in black chrome. It would be something a little bit different and at first glance, most people probably wouldn't notice it, but after looking, they will notice that something isn't quite right. It would probably look better if you did say the grille and the trim around the grill at the same time. just a little something to be different. Most people like the look of my truck, but they also know that I have done something to it, they just can't figure out what I have done. That is when I tell them that my rear most pillars are color matched, the wiper arm is color matched, the handles are color matched, custom emblems on the back, and other stuff.

ross not all black/dark chrome looks the same. if you google it and look at the images you can see the difference. I think the black chrome would and some bling over the black plastic. but it wouldn't be over the top.
