I replaced my rear upper and lower trailing arms, springs, and shocks on my 97 yesterday. Rides great, but during medium to hard breaking at slow speeds there is a clunk clunk clunk from the left rear. The rate of clunking is proportionate to the speed, i.e. as the truck decelerates the clunking slows down.

I had the brake caliper and rotor off and I torqued everything to specs including the lug nuts. Any ideas before i tear it back apart?

Thanks

Just take the wheel off and see if there is anything touching the rotor except the pad. Nothing else should come in contact. Also check if any of the bolts stripped out.

Solved. Embarassing but solved. I guess I didn't torque down the rear bolt on the upper arm and it backed out and dissapeared. replaced the bolt and applied loctite, re-torqued all other bolts just to be sure. no more clunk clunk clunk.

Sorry for not checking more thoroughly before posting, I was just sure I had got them all.
