Hello, I just purchased a 07 limited 2wd El and curious about the wire attached to the coin holder is. Its Located where the 4x4 switch would be on the dash just to the right of the steering wheel if it was a 4x4.

I believe it’s a loom off the harness that leads to nowhere. If you had a transfer case (4WD) it would go to the shift motor and the IWE solenoid.
