Concerns...2003 4x4 EB 5.4

I finally took my expy to the dealer and they replaced the #7 coil pack + #7 spark plug. Now, my concern is, I drove for about 3k miles with this bad coil pack - what else could this have done to my engine? I should've taken it earlier but never really had the chance/time to do it until it got really bad (usual symptoms of hesitation under load, static on my speakers, etc..).
It now runs smooth....I'm just wondering if the bad coil pack damaged anything else.

unless you had a dead miss for a long time then you didn't do any harm.

If you carry a dead miss for a long time you run the risk of damaging the calaylitic converter on that bank because of raw fuel overheating it as well as cylinder wash in the dead cylinder.

If it was an intermittant miss or only under heavy load then you shouldn't have anything to worry about.

Thanks for the info. Now, I feel safe going the end of this month to Las Vegas (9-hr drive one way).
