Covers For Now

The 99 Expy I just picked up has pretty well worn leather in the front seats and the drivers side has tears. I've seen the thread for seat covers in this section and that's the route I plan to take (but WAY cheaper for now through Pep Boys or Auto Zone) but can anyone tell me if the armrest on the seat itself is removable or do I just have to fold it up and slide the cover over it?

Im not sure. Ive never looked at it but there is a zipper in the back side if you want to take a look.
