Good evening All. I have been without cruise control for about four months now. My screen on my cluster panel stuck on oil change needed in the OK square. My buttons for the OK and cruise control do not work. I bought a Motorcraft cruise control switch part number SW654Six just today. I don’t know where the heck it goes. I found the piece by the brake pedal but the wire harness that plugs into it has four wires and the replacement piece looks like enough for two wires. Any ideas thoughts suggestions criticisms commentary would be greatly appreciated thank you

I had a similar problem with mine. I replaced that same switch. It goes under the dash at the top of the brake pedal arm. Didn’t fix my cruise control turning on. I ended up swapping the cruise control switch on the steering wheel with on from a junkyard and it worked. A small tip screwdriver is all you need to pop the switch out, disconnect it, and connect the new switch and that’s it. I bought my expy used about a yr and a half ago and just recently figured out the switch was bad by swapping it. My code reader always gave me a p0541 (I think) code for the cruise control circuit fault. All good now.
