I have a bad misfire and the CEL says its cylinder one. Are there any known common causes of this? If not, where's a good place to start trouble shooting?

I already replaced the spark plug, and it was white, as though it had been running lean.

Thanks for any help.

Coil pack but since you did mention yr and size of your engine you might have wires. I would check that next. .

Just looked up the parts on line, am I looking to replace the part that has the plug wire attached to it? The one that is held in by the small bolt next to the injector?

Thanks again all.

if you changed the spark plugs your self then you had to remove the coils. and yes this is what they look like.

IF that doesnt fix it, the next guess would be a bad fuel injector. JUST had this issue with the CEL and Cyl 1 misfire on my sons car and it was a bad injector.
