How much work/cost would it be to do a straight axle swap front/rear on an Expo?

I'm tired of switching out ball joints/CV axles every other month it seems... and figure if I throw a Dana up front, I might as well do the back too.

How much work do you guys think this would be and how much do you think it would cost?

This isn't something that is going to happen in the near future, but it definitely is something that I'm going to look into doing in the long-term, if I keep the truck that is.

Nevermind, after reading up about this it seems like way more work than I need to be doing, especially for just a street crawler.

Sorry for the waste-of-a-thread

not a waste. just dont touch the rear. the 9.75, for lack of aftermarket support, is a really strong axle. i wouldnt change that out. for the front i would get a D44 or D60 and some leaf springs. then start cutting away all the old crap. it would take a few weekends, a few crop saw blades and some torches. just get the gear ratio down to about .02 of each other front to rear. also do the brown wire mod. junk yard axle and tear it down and see if anything is broken. if not then just put it in.
