sooo...on CL here latly there have been alot of expys with blown motors.

this got me thinking, if i ever had the time(which i do not).

how freaking awesome would it be to take one of these blown 5.4/4.6's out and put the 6.8 V10 out of my totaled 2000 excursion in it?!

i have now seen 2 guys that have swapped V10s in the 97-03 f-150s and it all worked out with alittle work here and there. i love what a monster my excursion with the V10 is i could not imagine what the expedition would be like!!!

146,318 miles fully loaded with 3rd row seating, leather, and power everything, 5.4liter engine Needs new motor as the motor is blown, outside is in excellent condition and the inside just needs to be detailed $1500obo

the V10 and tranny i could use out of my poor totaled excursion.

Swap it and build it a little and then you and tom can race. His hp vs your torque would be a good match up.

Put an oil sticker on the blown expy and bring it in to your shop so your boss thinks your working on one of the oil companys rigs. Then you get paid plus your doing what you want. He wont know

On a side note, there is a y2k Interceptor Vicky here, drivetrain, no car..$400? for engine. Where I am moving is the literal twin to Monstro, Black XLT, Tan cloth.. blown 4.6.. $1200

What I wouldn't give for a spare $2000 right now.

I would love to see the V-10 Expy.

cash and time are my limiting factors right now...but the V10 will allways be there...and so will blown expys so the possiblity is there.

my other project i want to do is the '97 explorer 5.0 v8 into my dads '84 ford ranger 4x4 which is a one owner with 105k miles on it. perfect resto project hardly any rust!
