did I screw up the FX4?

I put on this emblem to complete my FX4 look...

The dang EXPEDITON emblem is crooked.

My measurements from the gate to the emblem were only taken from the left side of the emblem...

DARN!

is it that obvious? ...or am I just obsessing?









I wanted it to look factory, hopefully fooling some people.

But it looks crooked, BUT the factory emblem is also crooked

WHAT DO YOU THINK???
Ditch the emblem?
Leave it?
Take off the Expedition emblem?
Get a new FX4 emblem and re-apply?

Practically losing sleep on this one........

Keep the FX4! I have to admit though, the crookedness would definitely get on my nerves though lol

I think they both look fine. If you look at the decals on my truck windows, most are somewhat crooked, no one ever notices that.

Personally all I see is the curve in the rear hatch on yours that gives the illusion of them being crooked. Both emblems look fine to me.

well you have two choices or maybe more do it over again or trade it in no matter what I would leave it as is doesn't look bad and most people won't even notice and to be honest I wouldn't have noticed except that you pointed it out

The original owner of my truck decided to make it a No Boundaries Edition. That's despite the fact that the package wasn't available until '01, a couple of years after mine was built. He did a decent job of logo placement, and it looked factory.

They were one of the first things to go (along with the stainless bug guard) when I bought the truck. Just not my style.

I don't think my emblem is a far stretch... My expy is a 2003 and I am running the F-150 FX4 20 inch wheels.
My interpretation of a modern FX4...
As far as I know, Ford put an FX4 badge on their expeditions in 2003 only,
and tube type bumpers, black trim head lights and I don't know what else...

The funny thing is I likely wouldn't have noticed either, however, if it were mine and I did notice or it was pointed out, it'd drive me crazy. That said, it certainly doesn't look bad, you just have to weight he costs of removing and resetting versus the agony of knowing they're not perfect...

Yah,
if it was all me, I would just take the expedition emblem off.
But, my wife likes it for some reason.
The car is for her...

I just made it look acceptable. sort of, bad emblem placement, but anyway...
She was mad that I took the xlt emblem off.

Weird, right?

She also said, your not buying another FX4 emblem for 23 dollars.

So, I like being married more than the emblems, but I think that they look bad right now.
