You may or may not have to get it reflashed?!

The code for pats is stored in the ecu. I believe you will at minimum have to take it to the dealer to have your keys reprogrammed.

Did some research I read if the key isn't compatible with the pcm vehicle wont even turn over...well mine turns over just wont start? Was running yesterday when I removed the old pcm but now both wont work but both turn over? ???

With pats (passive anti theft system) active it will crank but will not start. I know because I inadvertantly lost my pats code when my sct locked up while flashing the ecu and I lost my stock program. Same symptoms your describing.

I have custom programming software so I was able to turn my pats off and turn off related cel in the tune to get mine running again. The dealer can reprogram your pats keys. If necessary they can reflash your stock program to your ecu and then reprogram keys. I have to go to dealer at some point if I wish to have the ability to re-activate my pats. :(

have it towed to the dealer with the new pcm installed. They will clear the pats system and program your keys to the vehicle. You will need two keys to do the procedure.

Basically what this is saying is if a new PCM is installed, you can reprogram the newly installed PCM to your existing keys and everything will work just as it should? No need to take the vehicle to the dealer to reprogram the PCM or PATS?

It may solve the issue, yes..

Some people can swap out PCMs and not have a single issue.. Other have this issue. A friend of mine just swapped his, and hasnt had a single issue.. Try to do the solution in the thread I posted for you, see if it works..
