I remember this issue from a pioneer unit I installed 15 years ago, and, WTF, they still have not changed?
Turning on the parking lights only dims it a LITTLE bit, and I can see no where that I can adjust it. WT flippin F?
I like it pretty dim at night, and that aint happening. At least you can turn it off, but why not adjustable dimming?

It is a FH-P8000BT unit. Love it otherwise.

Yeah, I can totally adjust the dimming on my Pioneer. Not sure how the models differ, but with mine I think the unit has to be turned off, then I hit the System settings from the Home menu.

Have the manual. It is either on or off, but no dimming steps. Kinda dumb in this day and age.
