2014 EL
Was fishing all last week at Wellesley Island SP. Staying at Cottages on Eel Bay, but I slept in my Expy every night. One night I went out at midnight to crash & after settling into bed, the interior lights wouldnt go off. Made sure all doors closed (YES) then cycled door lock using button inside front door and ... THE THEFT ALARM stays going off HONKING. Middle of cottage area, midnight! Display says start vehicle to silence, but keys are in the cottage somewhere!! So I run in and try to find them, took a while. Eventually alarm HONKING stops. I'm sure I woke up a LOT of fishermen.
My question is ... is there any way to configure vehicle so this GD honking never happens? I'd be glad to take my chances against theft if I could be sure the dang vehicle never HONKS like that. I hate that.
PS - river was 49 degrees, not great fishing but they were killing perch and bullhead in bays. There were a lot of meat fishermen up there getting hundreds of perch and bullhead for summer fish fry's. We had some luck with bass in Lake of the Isles (out of season) which was 62 degrees. Couple Pike, few Rock Bass & Sunny's.
