Does the 302 Limited have 400hp or 375 for 2019?

Yeah I read that too. The Platinum has the 25 extra horsepower, all the turbo 3.5's run on the 91 octane to eek out the horsepower. They'll run on the 89, or 87, but not as well, not like the older 5.4.

I read and from what I see the crank power ratings are done with 93 octane by ford. The engines are designed to run on 87 octane minimum but will not produce published power output unless on 91 octane gasoline. So there is a difference in power between the two.

I’d hope so, if I payed $80,000 for a Platinum and was told I get more power I’d want more available power.

Since Fivestar does a lot of the tuning and they have you send the original tuning to them prior, maybe we can get them to chime in and let us know if there is a difference.

We don't have above 91 octane at the pumps here in the Bay Area. You guys that have readily available 93 octane are lucky.

Is there a physical difference between the XLT and Platinum motor? What is the extra HP attributed to? Software only? Bigger Turbo?

From what I found it's the tune. On the Platinum, they tune it to 93 octane, the xlt to 87, that's the 25 [emoji470].

I've heard the platinums have a slightly larger turbo. Not sure if that is true or if it is just tuning.

375 for xlts and ltds, only plats have 400
Interesting that trim levels dictate hp. Not that it hasn't been done before though.
Often I'll see people ask questions and they feel listing extra information like what kind of wipers, brake fluid etc should I use in my 09 Limited EL. Btw, when I get wiper blades from Autozone and they ask me if it's 2 or 4wd I can't resist asking them if it matters if I'm in 2wd most of the time does it matter.

A different exhaust, would give hp. The dual exhaust option 235hp, 1998-2007 Lincoln Town Cars, were about 30hp higher.
