I am new to the forum so I apologize if this is already posted somewhere but I have yet to find it. I recently bought a 2024 Expedition Timberline. I am planning on installing LED strips along the running boards. I plan to have them turn on when you unlock the vehicle and when you open the doors. My first thought would be to tap into the dome lights. I noticed there isn't a fuse set apart for the dome lighting. I pulled the dome light down that's over the third run and noticed a set of wires there. I had a yellow/green, black/white and brown/green. There are a ton of wires that run underneath the kick plate and that's where I thought I might tap into since there isn't a fuse that I have found yet. Does anyone have any additional information on the wiring for the dome lights? Would the wires I found work for what I am trying to do? I assume the black/white is a ground but wanted some clarification before I start getting into this. Thank you

with modern electronics, a lot of circuits are not fused, rather the power module for that circuit monitors the current and electronically switches it off if its shorted. the dome lights are probably managed by the BCM (Body Control Module), and controlled with CANbus or LIN digital commands... k, yeah, on my 2019, its LINbus, and yes, the BCM has a LIN signal to the dome assembly which includes its own digital controller, this single wire LIN manages all the lights and switches...

Do you have power steps ? I only have 2019 wiring diagrams, in 2019, the Lincoln Navigator had puddle lights, while the Expedition didn't... These puddle lights were powered by pin 7 (left) and 8 (right) from connector C3313A on the RBM (Running Board Module), which I think is buried deep under the dash.

My steps aren't powered, now I do have the timberline edition that has the light up under the mirrors to display the timberline logo.
