i would suggest not doing it unless your keeping it off. those hex screws that hold it on....they STRIP. youll loosen them but then after few turns nothing will happen....keeps spinning.

u can get them off....but original hex screw and tightening in ORIGINAL area....no way.

i did 2...went for 3rd and said no....DONT TRY IT. youll be drilling new holes:eek:

The little threaded grommets in the roof start spinning. You can take the headliner off and hold them with pliers to get the mounting bolts out. It really is more pain than it is worth. I took the factory one off to put a safari rack on.

not worth the hassel.:D..to take head liner off isnt easy job...well,easy but a pain.

i left rails on but took of cross bars from rack....this way its easier to paint.

.....i wouldnt do it unless REPLACING with different style...:rolleyes:
