My door locks work fine with the key fob or with the passenger side switch but when using the drivers side switch sometimes they work sometimes they don't is this the switch or something else any ideas thanks

Sounds like your driver's side master switch is going bad. Not all that uncommon.

Can you just replace the lock switch or do you have to replace the whole bank of window switches as a unit

now that im thinking about it...it may be the button and if thats the case that top part with the switches will need to be replaced...then connect everything to it

If it's like the Explorer I had, it's the whole bank of switches.

What year is the vehicle? If its a first gen then you can pop out the switch and take it apart and clean the contacts with an eraser and that will usually fix it!

It is a 2000 I will try the eraser that would save $50-$60 looks like you can buy just t switch but I am all for saving the $ if a eraser and a little work will fix it THANKS FOR THE INFO!!!
