I have a 01 Expedition and the left rear door will not work with electric door lock, I can manually use the lock. Al other locks work fine, any ideas where to start looking to fix this?

Thank You!

look to see if the actuator is still attached to the door Should be some pop rivets holding it in place Had that problem on my 01 listen to the actuator if you hear it moving it could just need adjusting either way you most likely will have to remove the door panel

One of my rear doors had a similar issue. It would try to lock or unlock, but it wouldn't be able to. It would move, but not to where it would lock or unlock the door. I sprayed some WD-40 and while manually pulling the lock up and down and it smoothed itself out. I didn't even have to take the panel off.

yes I pulled the actuator also used a bolt with a locking nut don't recall if I needed to drill it. If I remember correctly I just used a bolt that fit I do remember that it wasn't all that easy but it is doable

you may be interested in a

Ford workshop manual on DVD. Can be obtained from seller "morpheousking" on e-bay. Cost about $20.00 Much better than Clymer, Haynes or Chilton and also includes wiring diagrams

Don't waste your money on a Clymer, Haynes or Chilton Manual.
It is well worth the $20.00 just make sure you get the DVD for your year as the seller has different DVD's for different years
