the computer is learning everything. it will go away after a few weeks of driving. weird, cause it dosnt throw a cel. usually you need a programmer and look into codes and it will pop up. it should go away in a few weeks to month, depending on how much you drive it and how far. its just the computer learning everything. it will pop up everytime you disconnect the battery or change the tune.

The funny thing is is I haven't unhooked the bat nor do I have a programmer, I got a check engine light and plugged in a code reader, there was 2 codes, number one missfire, and the p1000. Maybe the code reader threw it. The reader didn't have a description for it so I just didn't know what it was.

thats weird that it came up. maybe the misfire threw the computer off and it was trying to learn it while driving like that. then it came up with the 1000.

Did you erase the codes? If you did it will put that there until you do a number of driving cycles. Its there so you cant got erase the codes then have a emission check and pass with still pending issues.

My truck had a "check charging system code" once I erased it I got the code p1000. It went away after a few days.
