I purchased a Panasonic DVD player and after reading the installation instructions I noticed that they want the unit braced to the ceiling behind the headliner. Silly me, I thought the headliner would support a ~6 pound player. Well that presents a couple of problems. From what I can see looking in the moonroof there is a support below the moonroof, but it is directly above the rear air upper ductwork. I am guessing that if I could at least get a couple of screws up into that crossmember I will be OK, but it is not going to be easy.

Has anyone done an install like this? Give me some tips .....

I can do that, but how are they braced? Ford sells a DVD roof mount so it can be done, just looking for someone who has done it for some tips.

My installer used pieces of wood and jammed the wood under the headliner to hold the 2 screens I have in my roof. Just a little tip. I know mine are just screens and yours is a complete player unit. But maybe you can come up with something off of that.
