As many of you are familiar with many of the Leather wrapped steering wheels start to fade and the dye comes out of them leaving the ugly behind. West Marine has a product called SEM vinyl dye that was highly regarded. They only had light gray so I will see how it dries, looks white when wet. First I taped off and covered the interior with lots of newspaper for overspray then cleaned the wheel.

If it doesn’t dry darker will have to do tan or go a different route. This was just a sh*ts and giggles test to see what happens. So far not a fan, I think a leather wheel skin is a better route.

It finishes nicely, the light gray was just too light however. It was a lot to tape off and cover the interior so I think I will have the wheel wrapped instead.
