Not sure what you mean by custom tunes but the Edge CS/CST has 4 levels from what I have read. Stock level up to performance with which you need to run a quality, higher octane gas. Hope this helps you out fiveoh.

I have the edge cs ..no custom tunes 3 levels Trans ,Towing, Exterme works great.. I compared SCT to it and for everday use and money the Edge won . If modifing your motor lots go with SCT. I only thing I wish the Edge had was to eliminate rear O2's and oil pressure.

All I can say is Wow! I went and bought the Evo CTS yesterday and put it in buddys Expy cuz we had to drive it to work(160 mile trip). It is amazing how it changed the attitude of the vehicle and improved mileage. He has the AWD transfer case and I have a 2wd option so my mileage should see an even better improvement. Seems to be a good investment so far, can't wait to get it in my Expy and see.

Just thought I would write a quick update. The programmer works great all-around. The only thing that I hadn't thought of is my gear ratio which is code H6-3.73 limited-slip. I still saw an improvement in fuel mileage and am happy with my purchase.

One of my main deciding points is whether or not I can adjust for the bigger tires. Mine is a 98.
Yesterday, I did a little test. I drive 5.2 miles on the factory 19 tooth speedo gear. Then I put a 20 in and drive the same route, it then showed 5.4 miles. I drove it in my wifes Accord and it was 6.2. So I am at least .8 of a mile off

98 speedo can only be changed with new gears in speedo...99+ can be adjusted with a programmer... went through that hassle when I had my 97 F150 on 38s

Walnuts, yours did or did not come with the monitor? Do you know what size tooth you put in to get your speedo right? The tires also threw your mileage reading off too, correct?

AHHHHHHHHHHHH, I cant make up my mind. I can get a SCT X3 through VMP with 3 tunes for $399. Or the Edge CS with monitor? for about the same price? Help me out guys.

I pulled a 6x14 with a Walker mower on it today and I though I was going to have to put on my hazards because I was going nowhere fast. I will be pulling the trailer with about 1500lbs for a few weeks for lawn maintenance, and maybe a Mustang on a trailer in the future, but not often by any means.

I don't think you will regret an Edge. The 2000 Expedition that we tried it on pulls an enclosed trailer with a water barrel and supplies for the three dirt bikes in it, he plans on buying the CS version by next spring.

cheaper and faster order an edge... often fourwheelparts has big rebates on ordering edges... I got mine from an edge rep when I was at the bloomsburg pa jamboree for 350 out the door... couldn't beat that deal
