I have an 02 Expy EB with 312,000 (fortunate to still be on the original engine and tranny). We are having electrical issues and can't figure out the problem. Horn started blowing with no regularity a few months ago, so we disconnected it. Radio stopped working 3 days ago (fuse blown, replaced, immediately blew again). Battery light came on yesterday (alternator tests fine). Power windows stopped working today and the battery is draining. Not even sure if all these things are related or if it's just a sequential meltdown after 12 years. Any suggestions? We bought the vehicle new and really don't want to part with it.

Do you know how to trace circuits, read a wiring diagram and have a digital multi-meter?
Has it been raining lately and does your windshield leak?

I do have a multi-meter. I am pretty good about reading diagrams. But I am not as savvy about tracing out/troubleshooting. :/
It has been raining a lot this year and we have had leaks around the moonroof which can leak around the windshield.

In my experience when you have a fuse blow as soon as you put it in then you have a hot wire grounding out. Which if you have water leaking into the cabin down to around the the dash area where your fuse block is as well as other stuff. I would say if you can stop the water leak and get everything dried out it may resolve some of your issues.

Read the sticky in the first gen section about the windshield leak and determine if that is part of your problem.

Send my your email in a pm and I'll send you some info.
