Engine Swap

Hi I'm new to this group. I want to buy a 2003 Expedition in great shape but needs a new 5.4 liter engine. Does anyone know which year / model 5.4 engines will fit this vehicle?

so u want to buy a 03' ? or u already have it either way u can basically put a 5.4 out of the same body style u can even go navigator for a few more horses its a 3v i believe (any1 correct me if im wrong) or u can just rebuild the stock engine thats in it as long as the block is decent

I believe the navigator 5.4 was a 4v. I may be thinking of the aviator though

03-05 expy motors were 2v. After that they switched to 3v. If you want to keep the same pcm and transmission, stick with the 03-05 motors.
