ever converted fans?

I am wanting to switch over to an electric fan assembly rather then the mechanical one. It should help in a few aspects. Just trying to see how others may have done it.

Did it on my Bronco. Throttle response and mileage improved. Also quieter. Gonna do it to the Expy soon I hope.

^^^That one doesn't have an A/C circuit to turn it on with the A/C. You'll have cooler A/C especially when stopped with the fans running. I forgot how much cooler my A/C is in the Bronco too.

It's expensive (and summit doesn't have the best price on it) but you really do want something with a shroud. Just sticking a fan there will only draw air through the radiator where the fan is actually mounted. A shroud will pull air through the entire radiator.

I'm just going to make my own shroud, cheap and easy to do.

Summit sells bare shrouds too. I made the one on my Cougar. To do it again I would buy one to fit the core size.
