Exhaust (catalytic mid pipe)

My 98 needs new catalytic mid pipes ( yet again) as the old ones have worn through up near the flange and are leaking. Welding is not an option as the pre heater on the drivers side has broken and is rattling around inside. Are there any high flow or performance options available? The only shop willing to fab one around here wants $2k to make a pair of pipes out of stainless with one high flow on each side
