Has anyone seen the sales report for Expedition's? Wow, GM is schooling Ford on how to sell large suv's. Maybe 10 to1 or more overall ? I did not add all the numbers up did not have to. The Tahoe has a 40 percent gain this year? That equates to a big loss for the Armada, Sequoia and mainly Expedition. 2013 has been a dismal year for the Expedition. If it had not been for the rebate which equaled a dollar for each pound of Expedition weight I may have been swayed to GM as well.
Ford says the Expedition is still profitable in small numbers. Well in 03 I think Ford sold more than 180,000 of them. This year maybe 24,000? That is a small fraction other wise.
Why has GM succeeded and Ford continues losing market share?
The 2014 Expedition has a $3,000 price increase over the 2013 according to the online Ford website pricing. What is new in 2014 to warrant that price increase?
What is the solution for Ford? What are they doing wrong? Has the lack of engine offerings hurt? I noticed that GM dropped the hybrid large suv's. Have they gone to long without a major body change? Let Ford know how you feel about this.
