Since I bought this thing in August, I was wondering what's behind those "deleted" rear door panels. Both my rear windows won't open with the driver's control switch, so I assume the electric rear windows are either blocked off, disconnected or not equipped with motors?

Also, passengers in the back can't lock / unlock the doors or exit the vehicle from the inside. The front passenger or driver has to get out and open the door from the outside, which is a bit of a safety concern in case of a collision. Is there a door handle and/or lock actuator hidden behind those black door panels, usually?

I haven't got around to removing the panels to check what's behind due to time constraints and other priorities with this truck to get it ready for winter, but I just want to know how many parts are missing in there if I want to make the rear doors and windows functional...

Thanks in advance for any info!

I had a police Crown Vic set up this way. On that car, the panels covered to OEM door panels, but the armrests had been removed. The window switches had been unplugged. Easy fix.

Hope yours is the same. Good luck.

Awesome, thanks for the info! I will need to take these off next weekend and check. Now I'm really curious about what wonders lie behind these panels!

If there's nothing behind them, just get a set of panels from a junkyard along with any handles and switches that are missing. Don't forget the door lock rods and clips and lock buttons too of they're gone.

A friend of mine just bought a 2016 Charger, and he found all the removed hardware in a bag inside the trunk! Now he just has to plug all the holes from lights and antennas, lol.

That was the plan initially when I bought it. I haven't messed with it to see what I will need exactly due to time constraints, but it will definitely simplify things if I do find something usable under those panels.

No such luck, I searched this truck inside and out to find stuff as soon as I got it... whoever checked this vehicle did a phenomenal job removing everything from it before it was sold. Not even one empty 9mm casing, old pen or dead flashlight battery behind the seats or in trunk storage space, lol! (typical left over stuff you'd expect in ex-cop cars).
