I just got done replacing my steering column and now my expi will not start. I checked all wiring and connections to the column, checked battery cables 3 times, moved the steering wheel around while trying to start and nothing... All dash lights come on like normal and everything else works as normal. I had the expedition started and running right before I switched out the column, so I know the battery and starter is good. There is no power even going to the starter to make it click...
Would it have to do with some security thing that is not letting it start? Would something need re-programmed beings it is a used column out of another expi?
Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Could it possibly be that the key that came with the used column needs to be programmed with the expi?

Yes that would be your problem. The pats system does not recognise the transponder key you are using.

ok thanks! Got it figured out already. Like you said the key had to be programmed. I just took the tumbler and key out of my original column and installed it on the used column and it started right up! Wish I would have realized that you could do that previous to the five times of me taking the steering wheel off! LOL! Thanks for the response though!
