So I got my tax return back and immediately when to ordering the parts i needed for the Expy!

Its going to take a while to get it all installed since i work 50+ hrs a week 6 days a week! But ill work on it when i can.

A list of parts i got are

Transdepot tranny
Front suspension kit
Front D & P axles
2 front hubs
Energy Suspension control arm bushings

And to ensure another 300,000 miles out of the new tranny i got

13qt of Mobile 1 Synthetic ATF
SD tranny cooler from Tasca
Magnefine inline filter

I plan on tackling the the front suspension first since the tranny wont ship for 10 days.

Then when i get the tranny i will install it and do a write-up on the SD cooler install.

What did the tranny run you if you do not mind me asking? When you say front hubs, are you refering to the unit bearings?

Tranny cost me $1389 shipped to my house! Would have cost me $1800 to rebuild at Certified Transmission or about $2300 from auto parts store.

And yes Im talking about unit bearings.

Is the tranny preloaded with a shift kit or all stock set-up? By the way, that is a good price for a reman. To have one rebuilt around here, you are longing at more money than that.

After shopping around i couldnt pass up the tranny! Now that i have had time to think about it i should have spent the extra dough and got the stage 2. Oh well! I needed to get it fixed asap as it is my only vehicle at the moment! I regret selling my Honda!

Parts will start arriving tomorrow and should have everything but the trans by this weekend!

I was trying to make sense of that too as you stated what you paid and what that link you supplied said a stage 2 was, I was thinking to myself it looks to be only a few dollars more for the stage 2. As you said, Oh well, S/H's.

What that price doesnt show/include is the freight charge to your home. That was an additional 200 bucks.

Got my first item in today! My wife called me at lunch and told me i got a package and that ruined the rest of my day! I couldn't get off work soon enough! I felt like a kid on Christmas Eve chomping at the bit, waiting for that time when i could rip open my present!

Here it is:

Baker, will do. Just read the instructions and it doesnt sound difficult at all. You have to heat up the rubber bushings to get them out.

Finished looking through the parts i got in today and realized that i didn't receive my hubs.
They should have been sent out with my CV axels since they are from the same company and bought on the same day.

Wanted to get the front end done this weekend so hopefully they will get back with me tomorrow and overnight them (LOL but i will push the issue!). Drivers side hub is shot and i dont know if it will make it another week of driving 70 miles round trip to work.

Well i wont be turning any wrenches this weekend since Detroit Axle didn't send my hubs out. Just got off the phone with them and should have them middle of next week.

^+ about 100! I dont have much patience for stupidity! The kicker is I have the receipt that i got with the axles that has both items i bought on it!

Also got my 13qt of Moblie 1 Synthetic ATF today. Im going to have to go order at least 1 more from local parts store because im sure the trans cooler and additional lines are going to eat up another qt.
